Airport
Airport delay information is obtained from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).  The dataset contains information about flight delay causes and times.  This data is available for all 50 United States.

Usage:

datatype=airport
time=now

Airport data requests can also be requested for a specific Airport station code:

Airport RETURN VALUES

location
This is an element that contains location information about the point you are requesting flight data for.

lat/lon
These parameters are attributes of the location element, used to specify the latitude and longitude of your data request. They are in decimal format. West and South are defined as negative.

Example:

lat=38.90&lon=-77.04


Time
This is an attribute of the step element that defines the exact timestamp for the flight data in the format YYYY-MM-DDTHH:MM:SS. 

Example:

time=2012-02-28T18:00:00

Station
This element contains the ID of the airport reporting station for which the flight statistics are valid. 

Example:

<Station>KPHL</Station>

Name
This element contains the name of the city for which the flight statistics are valid. 

Example:

<StationName>Philadelphia</StationName>

State
This element contains the name of the state in which the station is located. 

Example:

<State>PA</State>

DelayCode
This element contains the code related to the flight delay for the requested location. 
Possible codes: ND (No Delay), MD (Minor Delay), GS (Ground Stop), GD (Ground Delay), XD (Maximum Delay), and CL (Closed).

Example:

<DelayCode>MD</DelayCode>

DelayType
This element contains a text description of the delay type (if applicable).

Example:

<DelayType>Arrival/Departure</DelayType>

Max
This element contains the maximum delay time expected for the requested airport location.  Default unit is in minutes.

Example:

<Max>30</Max>

Average
This element contains the average delay time expected for the requested airport location.  Default unit is in minutes.

Example:

<Average>22</Average>

Min
This element contains the minimum delay time expected for the requested airport location.  Default unit is in minutes.

Example:

<Min>16</Min>

Trend
This element contains the delay time trend expected for the requested airport location.  Increasing (I) and decreasing (D).

Example:

<Trend>I</Trend>

Start
This element contains the delay start time (if available) for the requested airport location. 

Example:

<Start></Start>


End

This element contains the delay end time (if available) for the requested airport location.

Example:

<End></End>

Reason
This element contains text details (if available) about the reasons for the expected delay at the requested airport location.

<Reason>RWY:CLOSURE</Reason>
